These Sixteen Credit Unions Are Giving to Schools to Help Us Celebrate 16 Million TruStage Members in 2015

As the giving season continues, we're saluting 16 credit unions who are making great things happen for schools in their communities this year.

This past July, we celebrated the 16 million-member milestone for our TruStage suite of insurance products and services by donating $16,000 to DonorsChoose.org.

We provided the gift through our charitable giving arm, the CUNA Mutual Foundation, on behalf of the 16 U.S. credit unions, including:

  • Advia Credit Union of Parchment, Mich.
  • American Airlines FCU of Fort Worth, Texas
  • Arkansas Federal Credit Union of Jacksonville, Ark.
  • Associated Credit Union in Norcross, Ga.
  • CFE Federal Credit Union of Lake Mary, Fla.
  • Connecticut State Employees Credit Union Inc. of Hartford, Conn.
  • Ent Federal Credit Union of Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • Golden 1 Credit Union of Sacramento, Calif.
  • Honda Federal Credit Union in Lincoln, Ala.
  • Justice Federal Credit Union of Chantilly, Va.
  • Launch Federal Credit Union of Merritt Island, Fla.
  • MECU of Baltimore, Inc.
  • Oregonians FCU of Milwaukie, Ore.
  • Sikorsky Financial Credit Union of Stratford, Conn.
  • US Federal Credit Union of Burnsville, Minn.
  • Visions Federal Credit Union of Endicott, N.Y.

Each credit union is using the financial gift to support the local school project(s) of its choice. Some are contributing their own charitable dollars to fund local projects as well.

The project selection process for all participating credit unions will be finalized this month, and some have already dedicated their dollars, as you can see from these photos.

The support these credit unions are providing mean that many students will have access to technology, resources and equipment that wouldn't be an option otherwise.

We'll share an update on the overall program in a few weeks. In the meantime, we thank the credit union people who are bringing this program to life with us.
