We Stand With Credit Unions Through Hurricane Relief Efforts

The past weeks have been extremely difficult as multiple hurricanes hit the Caribbean, Texas, Florida, and other areas of the U.S. mainland.

Recovering and rebuilding in the wake of these devastating hurricanes will require extraordinary amounts of time, money and resources.

There’s also a human and emotional toll – which can’t be measured, but only understood and addressed with the utmost care. As Harvey, Irma and then Maria struck, confirming the safety and well-being of our staff and customers on the U.S. mainland, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic has been our top priority.

To our colleagues, customers and your families: we are absolutely focused on getting you the care and assistance you need in the coming days, weeks and beyond. We will see this through with you, along with great resolve and resources.

Over the last several weeks, we mobilized resources to help address needs in a variety of ways. First in Texas and Florida, then in Puerto Rico, our Customer Disaster Response Team and our Enterprise Crisis Team – in cooperation with partners inside and outside the company – secured water, food, alternate power and other much needed resources.
Natural disasters have hit hard, and the aftermath is difficult for the people and families who call these areas home. I want to assure our employees, credit union customers and partners that we will bring the utmost focus and care to continue helping in any way possible.
