We’re observing America
Saves Week over the next four days in an effort to support plan sponsors,
credit unions and their plan participants with tips, reminders and resources
they can to focus on how they’re saving for retirement.
We’re participating in the national initiative, along with credit unions and other businesses across the country. The week is coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council. It’s an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their saving status. We’re hoping you’ll join us in the effort for a two key reasons:
1. It can help you support the
financial health of your employees and plan participants. The campaign offers a
broad range of material and tools to help people save money, and resources are easily accessible on line (or through
our social channels).
2. It spells out how small steps today can make
a big impact down the road.
Campaign content highlights practical ways to save more. So, you can easily illustrate that saving doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, employer-sponsored retirement plans make saving pretty simple.

We see value in this
because it can help people see opportunities for easy wins. It’s about showing
them simple ways increase their savings – and chip away at obstacles that get
in the way of financial progress. If your credit union is a plan sponsor, we’ll
be sharing materials with you and your plan participants soon to help encourage
healthy saving habits.
So,
what are we providing to participants and employers for America Saves Week?
1. We’ll share emails with
participants February 26, 28 and March 2, inviting them to explore a collection of savings topics and take
action to increase their savings.
2. We’ll also share BenefitsForYou messaging
promoting these opportunities.
3. And, during the week of February
19, we’ll share a campaign materials plan sponsors can use to support the
campaign, including a poster and employee messaging.
